The Academic Technology SHAREcase is a professional development event for the UMN Academic Technology (AT) and Instructional Design (ID) staff where the University Academic Technology community can share challenges and--working together--find solutions.

This in-person event with a hybrid option spans one full day and one half-day. Participants have multiple opportunities to build connections and learn ways to leverage academic technology in creative, innovative, and engaging ways.

The 2024 theme, Advancing Design and Delivery for Today's Learners, is informed by the following core questions:

  1. In what ways can course design and delivery enhance learner engagement?
  2. What drivers should direct flexible delivery formats?
  3. How can we amplify inclusivity and accessibility for today’s learners?
  4. How can today’s education inform the educational landscape of tomorrow?
  5. In what ways can innovation drive tomorrow’s education?
  6. How can we support academic and non-academic educational offerings?
  7. What opportunities exist for expanding alternative credentials and establishing non-credit to credit pathways?

We invite proposals for 40-minute presentations (with 5 additional minutes for Q&A) that will help expand our understanding of approaches and practices that advance course design and delivery for tomorrow’s education as guided by the above core questions.

Proposals must be submitted via the form link provided by Monday, April 8th.

Notification of acceptance will be sent out by Monday, April 29th.
